INTUITION: The Silent Intelligence Working Within Us

There is a remarkable power residing within every human being—one that often speaks in whispers rather than shouts.

It doesn’t rely on logic, reasoning, or external validation. It cannot be measured by conventional instruments, yet its influence can shape the course of our lives in profound ways.

Many people experience intuition daily but dismiss it as coincidence, instinct, or imagination. Yet throughout history, some of the world’s most successful leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, artists, and visionaries have credited intuition as one of the greatest forces behind their achievements.

Intuition is one of our most important mental faculties because it provides access to information beyond our conscious awareness. It is the inner guidance system that quietly alerts us to opportunities, dangers, relationships, and decisions before our analytical mind fully understands what is happening.

When properly developed, intuition becomes one of the most reliable tools available to us—not only for achieving success but also for protecting our emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.

The Invisible Energies That Affect Us

Not all of life’s challenges are visible.

Negative emotions such as jealousy, hatred, resentment, envy, betrayal, and vengeance may leave no physical scars, but they often create emotional and energetic disturbances that can affect our peace of mind.

These emotional states can spread from person to person, influencing environments, relationships, workplaces, and even entire communities.

Ask yourself……

Have you ever walked into a room and immediately felt uncomfortable without knowing why?

Perhaps you met someone who appeared friendly on the surface, yet something deep inside warned you to be cautious.

Believe me,  these feelings are very real, and a percentage of people can easily pick these energies up.

They know.   THEY JUST KNOW.

Or maybe  you entered a home, office, or business and instantly felt welcomed, happy and energized.

You leave with a beautiful sense of peace and inner calm.  It all depends on the energy, positive or negative expressing itself as one of your mental tools, hidden away from sight but always keeping watch.

Similarly, you may suddenly feel a warm surge of positive emotion, as if someone is fondly thinking of you from afar—perhaps even from the other side of the world.

Intuition is our inner guidance system that very few people develop but should.  Protect your ‘life force’ by surrounding yourself with people who nourish your spirit, choosing spaces that will uplift and empower you.

That my friends is your intuition at work, one of the most brilliant mental faculties you possess, protecting you from harm.

Unfortunately, modern society tends to place enormous value on logic while largely ignoring intuitive wisdom.

We are taught to trust facts, statistics, and external opinions,  yet rarely are we taught how to develop the powerful inner guidance system we already possess.

Sadly this amazing trait all human beings possess is not taught in educational institutions and as such the result is that many people lose touch with one of their greatest natural abilities.

A natural holistic occurrence that can change the way you think and perceive other people and situations.

Intuition Is More Than a Gut Feeling

Many people describe intuition as a “gut feeling,” but intuition is much more than that.

It is a highly sophisticated mental faculty that operates beyond conscious reasoning.

Researchers studying human decision-making have found that the subconscious mind processes millions of bits of information every second, while the conscious mind can only process a tiny fraction of that amount.

Intuition may be the bridge between these two levels of awareness. This helps explain why intuitive insights often arrive suddenly.

You may experience an unexplained urge to call someone, only to discover they were thinking about you. You may avoid a situation that later proves problematic.

These experiences are often dismissed because they cannot be easily explained. The question is not whether intuition exists. The challenge is whether we are willing to listen.

Why Negative Energies Affect some People more than others.

One of the most important lessons I have learned over decades of studying mindset and personal development is that negative influences only gain power when we allow them to penetrate our mental and emotional defenses.

Think of your mindset as an invisible shield.

When your thoughts are strong, positive, focused, and confident, negativity struggles to attach itself to you. Like water rolling off a duck’s back, negative energy loses its ability to linger.

However, when we are emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed, fearful, or uncertain, we become more vulnerable to outside influences.  Individuals who are primarily living in a negative mental state most of their lives tend to experience this dilemma far more often than others.

This is why personal growth is so important. Strengthening your mental faculties—including intuition—creates resilience. It allows you to recognize negativity without absorbing it.  You become aware of harmful situations without becoming consumed by them.

You notice toxic behaviors without allowing them to control your emotional state. More importantly, you learn to trust yourself by working within.

My Personal Encounter with Intuition & Developing my Mental Faculties

Many years ago, I experienced an event that permanently changed my understanding of intuition.

At the time, my spouse and I were considering purchasing a property as an investment for our property management company we own. On paper, everything looked perfect. The location was ideal, the numbers worked, and it appeared to be an excellent opportunity.

As I toured the home, I began mentally calculating future rental income and costs for renovations.

Everything seemed fine until I walked into the basement.

The moment I reached the center of the room, I experienced an overwhelming sensation unlike anything I had ever felt before.

It felt as though I had walked into an invisible wall of heaviness. The atmosphere was deeply unsettling.

I cannot fully explain it except to say that every part of my being told me something was wrong.

The feeling was so powerful that I immediately wanted to leave.

The realtor continued discussing the property’s features, completely unaware of what I was experiencing. Yet my intuition was sending a message louder than any logical analysis.

I left that property shaken.

Whether there had been a tragic event there or not, I cannot say with certainty. What I do know is that my intuition recognized something my conscious mind could not explain.

That experience taught me an invaluable lesson:

Never ignore your inner knowing.  That event happened over 4 decades ago and ever since then I’ve been consciously learning, studying and further developing, not just my intuition, but all my mental faculties.  You see, we have several.

These mental tools, that we all have, are powerful.  So many people don’t even realize they possess them and are not aware how effective they can be in supporting their lives. I discuss this in my first book,  “How to Think & Succeed by Empowering your Mind”

Protecting Your Life Force

Every day, we make choices about where we direct our energy.  We choose the people we spend time with.  We choose the information we consume.  We choose the environments we enter.

These choices either strengthen or weaken our emotional equilibrium.  Protecting your life force requires conscious awareness.

Spend more time with people who inspire growth.  Limit exposure to persistent negativity.

Create boundaries when necessary.  Invest in personal development.

Most importantly, trust the wisdom that already exists within you.

One of the most empowering intuitive quotes I love comes from Steve Jobs.  It is a statement he made in his 2005 Stanford Commencement Address:

“Don’t let the noise of other peoples opinion drown out your own inner voice.  Have the courage and strength to follow your own heart”
