To be grateful & giving in this day and age is definitely the secret ingredient to spice up your life. Not only do we internalize those happy feelings when we give but those around us experience joy & gratitude as well. When we discover and apply the art of giving, we actually sparkle, there is a glow that is projected inside of us and towards others everywhere we go. This secret ‘spice of life’ definitely will ensure a life full of happiness and success.
People often wonder why some people get ahead in life and excel in everything they do while others question why they don’t get better results and they continue to struggle. There are many components that involve a life of success. The majority of people who have used this simple strategy have discovered the art of being grateful and giving. Interestingly enough researchers have found that those individuals who are ‘true givers’, who have freely given their time, donated money, or even just shared a kind gesture to someone in need have statistically reported greater self esteem, lower levels of stress and are less prone to depression.
But, does ‘giving’ really make you any happier???
It most certainly does. When the covid pandemic started years ago our company decided to do a fundraising campaign to thank all the nursing staff at the local hospitals to commend them for all their support and hard work. Hundreds of dollars in free product were donated for their unprecedented service. From the reviews and kind comments we received the staff were very appreciative of our generosity, which made us extremely happy!
“Be grateful for what have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough” Oprah Winfrey
When you add value to another person’s life it will in fact move your own life upwards reaching new heights. Subsequently the good you provide will return to you ten-fold with abundance, better health and happiness. Remember to make it a habit to tell people thankyou. To express appreciation without any expectation of receiving anything in return. When you truly are grateful for life you will refreshingly find out that you experience more of it!, which is more spice in your life.
“Paying it forward” is considered a beautiful act of kindness that can and will start a profound chain reaction of generosity towards others that has a proven positive ripple effect. If you sit and reflect back in your own life you will recall great acts of kindness that you as the giver have either contributed to or have been the recipient of. Like many people who have experienced such kindness you will never forget those people and that gesture of giving, that memory of kindness you experienced will be fondly remembered for a lifetime.
“I am grateful for always this moment, the now, no matter what form it takes” Eckhart Tolle
